RCW 4.96.020 requires the Port of Whitman County to receive and respond to any claims for damages against the Port and its employees.

To submit a claim, please complete the Port's Claim for Damage form in its entirety and attach any available documents or evidence supporting your claim, such as medical bills for personal injuries, photographs, proof of ownership for property damages, receipts for property value, etc. Please refer to the instructions provided within the form to ensure a complete claim.

Then, mail or deliver your claim to the Executive Director of the Port of Whitman County at 302 N. Mill Street, Colfax, WA 99111. Business hours are Monday to Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Please note some of the information on this form as well as any supporting documents may be subject to public disclosure under the Public Records Act (RCW 42.56).

The Port of Whitman County will process your claim in accordance with RCW 4.96.
