Port of Whitman County

Since 1958, we’ve developed land and infrastructure to help businesses flourish. We own three on-water port facilities, one industrial park and one airport. These properties provide a home for business in Whitman County. In turn, businesses associated with the Port build buildings, buy equipment, pay taxes and create jobs and payrolls that grow our region’s economy.

For two decades, we’ve worked to connect communities across southeastern Washington with reliable, high-speed broadband. We build the infrastructure – the dark or “unlit” fiber optic network – that allows private internet service providers to better serve you. We also work on the state and federal levels to ensure broadband policy functions for everyone – urban and rural communities alike.

The Columbia-Snake River System shapes the daily lives of everyone in Whitman County – and beyond. This federal system of locks and dams supports our region’s economy, agriculture, power and quality of life. That’s why we work to educate the public and policymakers about our working rivers. Every spring, we host our Snake River Family Festival to champion this multi-faceted system.

Our work is most meaningful when it improves your quality of life. That’s why we operate and maintain the beautiful Boyer Park & Marina along the Snake River in Colfax as a public service to the citizens of Whitman County. The park features an expansive marina, restaurant and store, swimming beach, tent and RV sites, cabins, playground and paved biking and walking path.
